The Attendance and Participation Policy of the Motqan Open Education Platform, operated by the Research and Consulting Institute at the University of Bisha, aims to regulate trainee attendance in training programs delivered through online learning or blended learning formats, ensuring the effectiveness of the training process and the achievement of the intended learning outcomes.
Synchronous online attendance refers to the trainee’s participation in live virtual sessions conducted through the institute’s approved online learning platforms.
Attendance and Participation Regulations
The Motqan Platform adopts a set of guidelines to regulate attendance and participation in training programs, including the following:
- Participation in live virtual classrooms through the platform is considered equivalent to physical attendance in traditional training halls.
- In asynchronous e-learning programs lasting more than one month, synchronous online sessions must be provided for at least 25% of the total program hours.
- In blended learning programs that combine in-person and virtual training and last more than one month, the percentage of direct or synchronous virtual attendance must not be less than 25% of the total training hours.
- All trainees are required to actively participate in training activities according to the approved schedule and curriculum of the training program.
- To successfully complete the program, trainees must attend at least 80% of the total scheduled training hours.
Scope of Application and Compliance
This policy applies to all trainees enrolled in training programs offered through the Motqan Open Education Platform of the Research and Consulting Institute at the University of Bisha.
All relevant administrative and academic units responsible for training programs are required to ensure the proper implementation of this policy.
In case of violations of these regulations, the institute may take the necessary administrative or disciplinary actions in accordance with the approved internal regulations and policies of the Research and Consulting Institute at the University of Bisha.
